The day started off a little dreary. We had already postponed this shoot due to rain. We decided to shoot anyway. I gathered my equipment and plastic bags just in case it got a little wet. I also packed my gold reflector to warm the images up a bit with a touch of sun. I learned a while ago that rainy weather does not always mean unacceptable images. We can make some exceptional artwork in these conditions.
These kids brought the brightness out, both figuratively and literally. When we started it was quite overcast, but these girls just beamed. We avoided standing in the flooded areas, but they made an intriguing backdrop. As we continued to shoot we got wonderful pockets of sun until finally the sun decided to make a grand appearance.
